The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), the United Nations Department for Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA) and the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) jointly launched a Handbook on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (full text, pdf, 2.41 MB). The handbook aims to help lawmakers better understand the new Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and its Optional Protocol and provide them with the tools to facilitate its ratification and subsequent implementation.
